Jeongmyo War

The Jeongmyo War, also called the Korean War, was a joint expedition conducted by France and the Union from February to April 1867.

it is believed the Ministry of the Army approved the war in order to distract French forces so that he may more easily conduct the Coup of 15 March and install the Count of Chambord on the French throne.
